Due to the Coronavirus outbreak,
together with the city of Heerlen
we decided to postpone our Forum to a later date.
The first Cities & Citizens Energy Forum
will take place from the 15th to the 17th September 2020.
We want to anchor our Forum locally.
Our two main partners for this edition are the local renewable energy company Mijn Water and our Dutch collective member, the association Klimaatverbond.
Mijnwater B.V. provides a profitable exploitation of heat and cold with mine water. The company is building on the development and construction of an innovative infrastructure for the distribution of mine water by the municipality of Heerlen. Mijnwater B.V. has taken over all activities in the area of mine water from the municipality of Heerlen and operates as a social enterprise.
Klimaatverbond Nederland is an association of municipalities, provinces and water boards that anchors, implements and makes visible local climate policy. Our members are working together on the necessary energy transition from fossil fuels to 100% renewable. The unique combination of lobbying activities and projects, accompanied by a focus on climate and sustainable energy, means that Klimaatverbond has solid knowledge and a strong network.
